Mommy & Me with Noah - The Wedding of Q & U

Mommy & Me day is always such a precious time at the Learning Academy Preschool. This year I went with Noah to the wedding of Q & U!  We dressed in our best summertime wedding attire & attended the ceremony complete with flower girls, ring boys, the bride & groom. After, we danced to favorites such as The Hokey Pokey, The Tootie-Ta, The Twist & The Macarena.  We also enjoyed mini cupcakes, cookies & punch at the reception.  Such a fun morning making memories with my Sweet Angel. Everyday with this boy brings new gifts of smiles & laughter. I <3 this boy!!

Tubby Time with Cruz

There's just nothing cuter than a baby in the tub! With Cruz's upcoming 1st "real" haircut, I couldn't resist snapping a few pics of his crazy, long hair when I was bathing him the other night. His hair is all the more special to me because we buzz cut the big boys' hair. I just love running my fingers through Cruz's hair when we snuggle! I think it must relax Cruz too because when he's about ready to nap or go to bed for the night he lays in my arms so sweetly as I sing to him & rub his head! My sweet baby! Growing up way to fast!!

1st Harvest of 2012

Gosh, I need to start blogging again! Life with 3 little boys is soooo crazy busy. I really can't begin to even describe just how full, exhausting & joyful it is. I know I'm going to look back and wish I had written things down, saved more pictures, documented the funny & gross things that happen everyday. So, I'm starting with today. I may go back and backdate a few posts. But today, Thursday, May 10th, this is what's going on... Nana is here visiting. Noah stayed home to have some special time with her and this morning we picked our first harvest of 2012 from the garden. I was delighted to pick two nice zucchini, 3 squash, 2 different varieties of cucumbers & a handful of greenbeans. Looks like we'll be having some fresh veggies with dinner. Now, if our 5 tomato plants would set some fruit! What fun we have in the garden - from planting little seeds to nurturing baby plants to tasting the fruits of our labor - the garden has been a great family activity! So glad we gave it a try!

Luke Canes Basketball 2011

Luke played his first season of basketball this year through the Wylie Basketball Association. He's had a great time learning the basics with his besties Maeson & Traviss. Leo is assistant coaching too, so it's a learning experience for all. It's a good thing the boys got their first real basketball hoop for Christmas. They practice every day the weather is good. The season is almost over, but it's been a great indoor activity for Luke during these cold winter months. And, even though he looks more like a little linebacker, I think he'll want to play again next year. Go Canes!

Cruzie's 1st Big Boy Haircut

This past week I gave Cruzie his first big boy haircut. Until now, I've just snipped a little here and a little there, but this time I just kept going. Maybe it was the random comment I heard someone made that it looked like he had a mullet. Maybe it was the fact his hair really was getting longer than mine. Regardless, Cruz officially has a haircut. I saved the locks in his baby book. So bittersweet to see my last baby boy growing up. He's such a sweetie and I'm so very blessed.

Lunch Date with My Honey Bunny

Today Luke and I had some special one-on-one time. We had to run some errands, but decided to make it a Mommy/son date day by stopping at Olive Garden for lunch. We talked a lot about school. Luke's favorite subjects in 1st grade are math, reading, art, computer lab..."really all of them," he said. When I asked his least favorite, he didn't have one! He has 5 best friends, but his real BFF's are Maeson & Traviss. I took the dining opportunity to teach Luke about being a gentleman, using good manners, how to place his napkin in his lap & how to order our meals. He was so sweet & happy. He said he felt very special! My mission was accomplished! Not much more I can ask for. Next week, it's Noah's turn. I'm excited to see where he wants to go on his special day. <3<3<3 my boys!

Snaggle-tooth Luke

Luke lost his first top tooth tonight! It was after a long day of running around and baseball games that he finally let me yank it! It was really barely hanging on. In fact, when you looked at him it appeared as if he had a really crooked tooth. Not so...just a really loose tooth! A slight crisis occurred when, after sealing it in a ziplock baggie, it somehow fell out. Waterworks immediatley ensued, but we found it in the sheets of our bed. Whew! Crisis averted! I am eager for Luke to wake up. I know he'll come running out here to show me what the tooth fairy left him for his tooth. He's sure to be excited about being a dollar richer! For the recap: Luke is 6 years old, in first grade and has lost two bottom teeth and one top tooth! My boys are growing up!!
